The new Hello Kitty “Narikiri Facepacks” are out (in Japan), and if you can find them you can pretend to be Kitty instead of walking around the house like a mummy in plain white gauze. Except instead of looking cuter than a mummy, as Kitty you’ll look kind of creepy. The uncanny valley effect comes in three scents: cherry blossoms, rose or lavender. So you’ll smell amazing while you freak out the delivery guy. Kotaku.com.

Let’s Go! I am hyperventilating at the thought of seeing Helena Rubinstein’s art collection at The Jewish Museum in New York. The exhibit, titled “Beauty is Power”, also includes many of her clothes and jewelry ensembles. “Madame”, as she was known, loved to make money – she sold her company to Lehman Brothers in 1928 for the equivalent of $84billion in today’s money, then bought it back during the Depression for a pittance. She also loved to spend money, and the show is just a tiny sampling of the vast collection of fineries she acquired. It runs until March 22, 2015 ArtNews.com.

In Pictures: National Geographic has a gallery of covers featuring women at their site. While many of the women featured are scientists or exotic Women of Culture, some of the covers were more controversial: the June 1966 cover of a woman splashing in the waves at Cape Hatteras National Seashore brought in reader letters complaining that the magazine was using sex appeal and commercialism to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
